Transportation Information

Due to limited parking around the National Mall we recommend utilizing public transportation. Visit the National Parks Service parking recommendations at the National Park Services website.

Parking

  • Parking is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
  • The National Park Service provides metered parking spaces through the National Mall area. Please refer to their website for cost and hours.
  • Metro-operated lots also offer parking options.

Accessibility

  • Accessible parking is available at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt and World War II Memorials and near the Washington Monument and the Thomas Jefferson, Lincoln, Korean War Veterans, and Vietnam Veterans Memorials; at the Tidal Basin.
  • Please note that some of the accessible parking will be in metered areas and will require payment to park. This is consistent with D.C.’s meters in the city’s Central Business District.
  • Accessible parking is limited and on a first come first serve basis.

Buses and Shuttles

  • If you are bringing a group of 13+ by bus or shuttle, please indicate this when you fill out the RSVP form
  • Bus parking is available primarily along Ohio Drive, SW near the Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson Memorials and along Ohio Drive, SW in East Potomac Park.

Metro

  • Metrobus
  • DC Circulator – Visit their website for official information on weekend transportation and routing.
Trains
  • Amtrak – Consider Amtrak if you are traveling from out of town. Visit the Amtrak website for more information on ticketing and transportation.
